I.
They were in 10th grade and love
and she was teaching him sign language
in the middle of the crowd,
so they could talk above the noisy world.
II.
She's a teacher and he plays music
and they sing their children awake.
III.
She could tell you things about him,
things only she would remember.
Like the way his favorite feeling
is his wet back on warm concrete
at the swimming pool in July.
IV.
She sits outside of weddings
just to hear the music.
